ZC-4979 resin is an isophthalic unsaturated polyester resin with isophthalic acid, maleic anhydride and standard diol as main raw materials, which has been dissolved in styrene crosslinking monomer and has medium viscosity and high reactivity.

Benefits and Application

ZC-4979 resin has high mechanical strength, good toughness, and low fracture sensitivity of products, so it has a high fatigue life. It is especially suitable for products that come into contact with water, especially seawater. It has high water resistance and chlorine resistance. It is suitable for pultrusion, winding, casting grid, hand lay-up and other molding processes.

Application Guidelines

1. ZC-4979 resin does not contain wax, accelerator or thixotropic agent.
2. Recommended curing system for pultrusion process: BPO curing agent 0.5-2.0%; TBPB curing agent 0.5-1.5%. The actual selection should be confirmed according to the specific equipment, product, process temperature, pultrusion speed and other factors. When drawing thick products, it is recommended to add low shrinkage agent to reduce shrinkage.
3. In view of the differences in compatibility between different resins and different color pastes (pigment pastes), customers should test the compatibility and stability of resins and color pastes (pigment pastes) before use.
