Chemical/Physical Nature

ZC-8397 resin is an unsaturated polyester resin with phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride, and standard diols as the main raw materials. It is soluble in crosslinking monomers such as styrene and has high viscosity and moderate reactivity.

Benefits and Application

ZC-8397 resin has excellent flexibility, good coloring, and moderate exothermic peak. Suitable for room temperature and medium temperature solidification of economical quartz stone.

Application Guidelines

1. ZC-8397 resin does not contain wax, accelerators, or thixotropic additives.
2. ZC-8397 resin is suitable for curing at room temperature and medium temperature. Medium temperature curing is more conducive to production control and product performance assurance. Recommended medium temperature curing system: tert butyl peroxyoctanoate TBPO (content ≥ 97%), 1% resin content; Curing temperature: 80 ± 5 ° C for at least 2.5 hours. Recommended coupling agent: gamma methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane KH-570, 2% resin content.
3. ZC-8397 resin is an economical ordinary quartz resin;
4. During the production process of the product, after heating and curing, it should be steadily cooled to room temperature to avoid rapid cooling and prevent product deformation or cracking, especially in winter. The cutting and polishing of quartz stone during the production process should be carried out after sufficient solidification.
5. Moisture absorption of fillers should be avoided, as excessive moisture content can affect the curing of the product and lead to a decrease in performance.
